My friend Ron Passaglia, the long-time president of Restonic, is wrapping up his distinguished bedding career this month. And that triggers memories of my travels over the years with that good, kind man, described by one of his colleagues as “a marketing maven who knows a thing or two about sales.” Yes, he does.

Restonic was ahead of the times in moving to a virtual headquarters model back in 2009, with its headquarters being wherever Passaglia’s BlackBerry (and then his iPhone) happened to be at the moment. And many times that was on the road, where I joined Passaglia several times over the years. He worked hard to build the Restonic brand, and he won widespread respect for his diligent work.

Houzz Pro pairs up with Benjamin Moore to bring new color options to online tools

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Online home design platform Houzz Inc. has teamed up with paint brand Benjamin Moore to bring its color portfolio to new visualization tools within Houzz Pro, an all-in-one business management and marketing solution for residential construction and design professionals.

As part of this engagement, Benjamin Moore will provide paint colors for the Houzz Pro 3D Floor Planner and Mood Board tools. With the new partnership, Houzz Pro users will be able to choose from thousands of colors to customize 3D model walls and to place paint swatches on a mood board. Once a 3D floor plan or mood board is approved, the pro can easily click on the paint swatch to order the exact paint color from Benjamin Moore’s website.
